The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has compiled a report on economic indices concerning production, private consumption, business investment and other factors for each region, in order to ascertain the trends in regional economies across Japan.
- Indices of industrial production (seasonally adjusted; month-on-month basis) showed a decrease in five regions, e.g., Kanto, Kyushu, and Chugoku (composition ratio of value added: 59.4%), and an increase in three regions (the ratio: 21.3%).
- Sales in the month on a year-on-year basis in six types of businesses in the retail trade industry showed a decrease in all regions

Note: The indices of industrial production for the Tokai region are blank because the source (Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry) has yet to publish the figures.
