The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has compiled a report on economic indices concerning production, private consumption, business investment and other factors for each region, in order to ascertain the trends in regional economies across Japan.
Indices of industrial production (seasonally adjusted; month-on-month basis) showed a decrease in all regions.
Year-on-year monthly sales comparisons in six types of businesses in the retail trade industry showed an increase in seven regions, including Kanto, Kyushu/Okinawa, and Tokai (sales composition ratio: 84.9%), and a decrease in one region (sales composition ratio: 15.1%)
