FY2020 Award Ceremony Held (Online) for the Stadiums and Arenas Selected as Bases for Exchange between All Generations

1. FY2020 selection awards ceremony held
On September 8, an awards ceremony was held online for the 11 winners from the first call for applicants held last year that were selected as bases for exchange between all generations.
In the ceremony, Mr. Murofushi Koji, the Japan Sports Agency's Commissioner, presented the award certificates and commemorative trophies to the selected organizations after delivering messages from himself, the Agency's Deputy Commissioner Ms. Fujie Yoko, and Mr. Hatakeyama Yojiro, METI's Director-General for Commerce and Service Industry Policy. In addition, the selected organizations gave presentations showcasing the wide variety of efforts at their stadiums and arenas, which are all growing as hubs for regional exchange and revitalization.

2. Schedule for the FY2021 call for applicants
METI and the Japan Sports Agency have opened a call for applicants for FY2021's selection of stadiums and arenas as bases for exchange between all generations. The application period is as follows:
September 6 (Mon.), 2021 to November 1 (Mon.), 2021, at 17:00.
The selected facilities will be provided with focused support, including information from METI and the Japan Sports Agency. Please go to this URL (in Japanese) for further information about this year's call for applicants.
