Minister Hagiuda Held a Meeting with H.E. Ambassador. Katherine C. Tai, the United States Trade Representative and launched the Japan-U.S. Partnership on Trade

On November 17, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Office of the United States Trade Representative launched the Japan-U.S. Partnership on Trade.

METI Minister Hagiuda Koichi and H.E. Ambassador Katherine Tai, the United States Trade Representative held a meeting in Tokyo today and welcomed the launch of the Japan-U.S. Partnership on Trade to discuss the Japan-U.S. common global agenda in the area of trade, cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as bilateral trade cooperation between Japan and the United States.

The Director-General of the Trade Policy Bureau from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Director-General of the Economic Affairs Bureau from Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on the Japanese side and the Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Japan on the U.S. side will participate in this partnership.

Through this framework, we will further deepen the cooperation between Japan and the United States in the area of trade.
