Call for Applicants Starts for "Development of Technology for Producing Fuel Using CO2, etc." Projects

1. Background and purpose

Toward the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, a Green Innovation Fund has been established under the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). In this fund program, field-specific working groups established under the Green Innovation Project Committee, Industrial Structure Council, deliberate on issues such as the priority and appropriateness of the amount to be implemented by the fund for each project. Then, the divisions and offices in charge of the project at the responsible ministries and agencies formulate the contents of each project as an "R&D and Social Implementation Plan," and start calls for applicants.

Based on discussions at the Working Group on the Field of Energy Structure Transformation, METI has formulated an R&D and Social Implementation Plan for "Development of Technology for Producing Fuel Using CO₂, etc." projects. In response to this, NEDO has begun a call for applicants for the project.

2. Call for applicants for the "Development of Technology for Producing Fuel Using CO₂, etc." projects

From today until March 7 (Mon.), NEDO is calling for applicants for the "Development of Technology for Producing Fuel Using CO₂, etc." projects. For details, please check NEDO's public call information at the link below.

3. Future schedule

After the public call ends, NEDO will review the applications. The projects are scheduled to begin from late April.
