METI and MIIT to Hold Third Japan-China Joint Public-Private Seminar on Autonomous Driving

On February 17 (Thu.), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), People's Republic of China, will jointly hold the Third Japan-China Joint Public-Private Seminar on Autonomous Driving online from the perspective of fortifying Japan-China exchange and cooperation in the field.
1. Overview
Under the agreement reached between Mr. Hiroshige Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and H.E. Mr. Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, China, METI and MIIT jointly held the First Japan-China Joint Public-Private Seminar on Autonomous Driving in Tokyo in 2018. Following on from that seminar, the second seminar was held in Beijing in 2019. The FY2020 event was cancelled due to the impact of COVID-19. This fiscal year, the third seminar will be held online on February 17 (Thu.).
