Minister Hagiuda Receives a Courtesy Call from H.E. Rahm Emanuel, Ambassador-Designate of the United States

On February 9, 2022, Mr. Hagiuda Koichi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry received a courtesy call from H.E. Rahm Emanuel, Ambassador-Designate of the United States.

METI Minister Hagiuda Koichi received a courtesy call from H.E. Rahm Emanuel, Ambassador-Designate of the United States. Minister Hagiuda welcomed Ambassador Emanuel on his assignment to Japan, and the two agreed on the importance of deepening and expanding comprehensive Japan-U.S economic cooperation, as well as cooperating toward realizing holistic growth and a free and fair economic order in the Indo-Pacific region.
 
Based on the request from the United States on diverting LNG to Europe, Minister Hagiuda communicated to Ambassador Emanuel that as long as the stable supply to Japan is ensured, Japan will cooperate as much as possible.
