Minister Hagiuda Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On April 22, Mr. Hagiuda Koichi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The two leaders congratulated each other on reaching the 30th anniversary of Japan-Uzbekistan diplomatic relations being established, and exchanged views on expanding economic relations between their countries in the future.

Outline of the meeting

On April 22 (Fri.), Minister Hagiuda met face-to-face with H.E. Mr. Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the two leaders congratulated each other on reaching the 30th anniversary of Japan-Uzbekistan diplomatic relations being established. They also exchanged views on the economic relations between the two countries—including the endeavors agreed upon during President Mirziyoyev's first visit to Japan in December 2019—as well as the situation in Ukraine. Additionally, they confirmed that moving forward, they will further deepen economic relations and exchanges between their countries.
