The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been promoting the discovery and development of human resources with outstanding IT abilities in order to create new added value for the economy and society through technological innovation in the IT field. As part of this, METI has been involved in the MITOU Program (Exploratory IT Human Resources Project) through the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA). In this program, persons with outstanding capabilities among those who have completed the program are certified as Super Creators. This year, 18 individuals have been certified as Super Creators.
