In connection with the G7 Summit in Hiroshima next year, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) will hold the Trade Ministers' Meeting, the Digital and Technology Ministers' Meeting, and the Climate, Energy, and Environment Ministers' Meeting.
1. Outline and purpose
In connection with the G7 Summit in Hiroshima next year, METI will hold the following three ministerial meetings.
- The Trade Ministers' Meeting (co-hosting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
- The Digital and Technology Ministers' Meeting (co-hosting with the Digital Agency and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications)
- The Climate, Energy, and Environment Ministers' Meeting (co-hosting with the Ministry of the Environment)
METI will set up a preparatory office in relevant departments within the ministry to facilitate the preparation and running of these meetings.
