Locations Chosen for the Trade Ministers' Meeting, the Digital and Technology Ministers' Meeting, and the Climate, Energy, and Environment Ministers' Meeting to Be Held in Connection with the G7 Hiroshima Summit

1. Outline and purpose

In connection with the G7 Summit in Hiroshima next year, the three ministerial meetings relative to METI’s jurisdiction will be held in the following municipalities .

(Municipalities chosen as venues)

• Trade Ministers' Meeting (co-hosting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs): Osaka Prefecture
• Digital and Technology Ministers' Meeting (co-hosting with the Digital Agency and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications): Gunma Prefecture
• Climate, Energy, and Environment Ministers' Meeting (co-hosting with the Ministry of the Environment): Sapporo City

METI will work with the ministries and agencies involved and the local governments in the areas where these meetings will be held to ensure that they all run smoothly.
