Cooperation Framework on Human Resource Development for Realizing Industry 4.0 Exchanged with the Thai Government

On November 16, Mr. Nishimura Yasutoshi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, attended the Japan-Thailand Collaboration on Enhancement of Industry DX, a seminar on human resources promoting DX in Thailand co-hosted by the governments of Japan and Thailand in Bangkok, Thailand. There, he met H.E. Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Industry of Thailand, and exchanged documents on the Cooperation Framework on Human Resource Development for Realizing Industry 4.0.
Based on this cooperation framework, METI will work to foster human resources who will drive the digitalization of manufacturing industries in Thailand and to promote the human resources it has developed.
Overview
On November 16, METI Minister Nishimura visited Bangkok, the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting. There, he attended the Japan-Thailand Collaboration on Enhancement of Industry DX, a seminar on human resources promoting DX in Thailand, co-hosted by the governments of Japan and Thailand, and met H.E. Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Industry of Thailand, with whom he exchanged documents on the Cooperation Framework on Human Resource Development for Realizing Industry 4.0.
METI has implemented several human resource development (HRD) projects in order to contribute to the digitalization of Thai industries.
Through this exchange of documents on this cooperative framework, METI will further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the governments of Japan and Thailand in the area of human resource development and work with the Thai government to promote the development of human resources that will support the digitalization of the manufacturing industry in Thailand and to utilize the talents who have successfully completed the HRD projects.
