Minister Nishimura Receives a Courtesy Call from H.E. Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Turkmenistan

On December 23, Mr. Nishimura Yasutoshi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Turkmenistan, with whom he exchanged views on future economic relations between their two countries.
Outline of the meeting
On December 23 (Fri.), Minister Nishimura received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the two ministers offered mutual congratulations on the reaching of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations being established between their two countries. Minister Nishimura also expressed his hopes for cooperation in plant and engineering sector utilizing natural gas in Turkmenistan and in other fields. Deputy Chairman Meredov expressed his gratitude for Japanese companies implementing cooperation projects and fulfilling roles that are important to Turkmenistan's economic growth. He also expressed his wish to continue focusing on cooperative relations with Japan.
In addition, the two ministers signed a Memorandum of Cooperation stating that the two countries will continue to cooperate in the economic field.
