Minister Nishimura Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. Rachmat Gobel, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia

On March 3, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nishimura held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Rachmat Gobel, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, and confirmed that the two countries will further deepen their economic ties.
On March 3, METI Minister Nishimura held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Rachmat Gobel, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.
During the meeting, Minister Nishimura informed Mr. Gobel that Indonesia is an important strategic partner for Japan, and that since Indonesia holds the ASEAN chairmanship, it is very important for both countries to cooperate with each other.
In addition, as this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Japan and is the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, the two sides exchanged views on how to further strengthen bilateral economic relations between both countries in the future.
