METI Minister Nishimura Holds the 2023 G7 Trade Ministers’ Meeting Online

On April 4 (Tue.), Mr. Nishimura Yasutoshi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry will hold the 2023 G7 Trade Ministers’ Meeting online. The Ministers will discuss maintaining and strengthening the free and fair trade order as well as enhancing economic security.

On Tuesday, April 4, the 2023 G7 Trade Ministers' Meeting will be held via video conference, with METI Minister Nishimura co-chairing the meeting with Foreign Minister Hayashi. In addition to the G7 member countries, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, Director General of the WTO, will participate in a session of the meeting.
In the meeting, the Ministers will discuss maintaining and strengthening the free and fair trade order including the WTO reform, as well as enhancing economic security including supply chain resilience.
