METI Opens Official Website for the Japanese Government Pavilion (Japan Pavilion) at the 2025 World Exposition in Japan (Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan)

April 13, 2023

On April 13, 2023, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) released an official website for the Japanese Government Pavilion (Japan Pavilion) at the 2025 World Exposition in Japan (Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan) as an effort to stimulate public interest in the pavilion and convey related information.

1. Outline of the official website of the Japan Pavilion

METI will exhibit the Japanese Government Pavilion (Japan Pavilion) at the 2025 World Exposition in Japan (Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan). In preparation for this, it has been advancing discussions on details of the exhibition on the basis of the Basic Concepts for the Japan Pavilion, formulated in April 2021, and the Japan Pavilion Basic Plan, formulated in March 2022.

On April 13, 2023, METI opened a website exclusively for the pavilion as an effort to stimulate public interest in the pavilion and convey related information. METI hopes that many people will visit link_iconthis website.外部リンク

2. Key visual design and key slogan of the Japan Pavilion

The website publicizes the key visual design and the key slogan of the pavilion. The Japan Pavilion Basic Plan states that “discussions should focus on a visual design system that has a circular graphic form that keeps changing like a living organism as well as versatility capable of addressing changes in scale and in external shape and responding to the two-dimensional development of patterns.” In line with this, the key visual design and the key slogan represent the theme of the pavilion, which is “circulation,” and a visual design system that changes form over time.
