Parliamentary Vice-Minister Yoshida Holds Meeting with Dr. Martina Hirayama, State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation, Switzerland

On October 2, Mr. Yoshida Nobuhiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry exchanged views with Dr. Martina Hirayama, State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation, the Swiss Federation, on future cooperation between both sides in the field of industrial innovation.
On Monday, October 2, Mr. Yoshida Nobuhiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry held a meeting with Dr. Martina Hirayama, State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation, the Swiss Federation. They exchanged views on future cooperation between both sides in the field of industrial innovation.
In the meeting, they shared the importance of international cooperation in the creation of innovation and confirmed the establishment of a policy dialogue regarding the industrial technology and innovation. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Yoshida explained Japan’s GX (Green Transformation) promotion measures, and it was confirmed that both sides will cooperate toward the common goal of realizing a net-zero society. Furthermore, in response to Japan’s explanation on the safety of the discharge of ALPS treated water into the sea, Swiss side stated that they trusted the scientific method and process confirmed by the IAEA.
