State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Mr. Iwata held a meeting with Mr. Ibrahim Al Mubarak, Assistant Minister of Investment, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is currently visiting Japan. They exchanged views on deepening the economic relationship between Japan and Saudi Arabia in the future.

Since the establishment of the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 in 2017 as a new compass for the strategic partnership between the two countries, many cooperative projects have been progressing in a wide range of fields, including economic and cultural aspects. The Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 consists of projects that involve both the public and private sectors and contributes to the growth strategies of both countries.

State Minister Iwata exchanged views with Assistant Minister Mubarak on further expanding and deepening the cooperative relationship based on this vision in fields such as startups and healthcare, taking into account the visit to Saudi Arabia by Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nishimura at the end of last year and Prime Minister Kishida in July of this year.
