Joint Statement Issued at the 16th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum

On December 7, 2023, Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea held the 16th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum. They shared the current situation of the cultural content industries in the three countries and agreed to seek the co-development and co-prosperity of the industries through proactive cooperation between not only the governments but also related organizations and industries. Following this, they also issued a joint statement.

On Thursday, November 7 and Friday, December 8, 2023, Japan, China, and the ROK held the 16th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum in Tokyo. As a representative of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Ushiyama Tomohiro, Deputy Director-General for IT Strategy, attended the forum.

At the forum, the three countries shared a rich exchange of information concerning the current situation of and cooperation in their cultural content industries and agreed to seek the co-development and co-prosperity of the industries through proactive collaboration between not only the governments but also related organizations and industries. In particular, they held discussions on the use of digital technology in the entertainment field.

Following the end of the forum, the Joint Statement of the 16th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum was issued.
