Minister Saito Receives a Courtesy Call from a Delegation of the U.S. Congressional Study Group on Japan

On Tuesday, February 23, Mr. Saito Ken, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, received a courtesy call from a delegation of the U.S. Congressional Study Group on Japan.
On Tuesday, January 23, Minister Saito received a courtesy call from a delegation of the U.S. Congressional Study Group on Japan from the House of Representatives (Congresswoman Diana DeGette (co-chair), Congressman Larry Bucshon (co-chair), Congresswoman Betty McCollum, Congressman Dan Newhouse, Congresswoman Stephanie Bice, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland and Congresswoman Jen Kiggans).
Minister Saito expressed Japan’s appreciation for the United States’ support for the Noto Peninsula Earthquake as well as its understanding and assistance regarding Japanese marine products. The two sides confirmed the importance of Japan-U.S. collaboration through exchanging views on topics such as energy and supply chain resilience.
