State Minister Iwata Holds Meeting with Ms. Denisa Saková, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, and Mr. Tomáš Taraba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment of the Slovak Republic

On Friday, February 9, Mr. Iwata Kazuchika, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with Ms. Denisa Saková, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, and Mr. Tomáš Taraba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment of the Slovak Republic. Both sides exchanged views on future Japan-Slovakia economic cooperation.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the future development of bilateral economic relations, including trade and investment. The Slovak side also expressed interest in Japan's nuclear power and renewable energy technologies, and they discussed cooperation in the energy sector toward decarbonization. They also conferred together on support for the reconstruction of Ukraine and confirmed the importance of promoting cooperation between Japanese and Slovak companies.
