Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ishii holds meeting with H.E. Ms. Aleksandra KOVAČ, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to Japan

On Tuesday, February 14, Mr. Ishii Taku, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Ms. Aleksandra KOVAČ, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to Japan, and exchanged views on future bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, they welcomed the recent increase in investment in Serbia by Japanese companies as a production base in Europe. They also exchanged views on the current status of construction of the Flue Gas Desulphurization Construction Project for Thermal Power Plant Nikola Tesla, a project based on a Japanese yen loan from Japan to Serbia, and confirmed the importance of energy diversification in Serbia and the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries toward decarbonization of the country.
