METI State Minister Iwata Delivers Speech at Japan-Ukraine Conference for Promotion of Economic Growth and Reconstruction

On Monday, February 19, 2024, Mr. Iwata Kazuchika, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, delivered a speech at the Japan-Ukraine Conference for Promotion of Economic Growth and Reconstruction. He mentioned new collaboration established between private companies and other entities in Japan and Ukraine, which was showcased during the conference, and stated that Japan will strive to secure the economic growth of Ukraine.
On Monday, February 19, 2024, State Minister Iwata delivered a speech at the Japan-Ukraine Conference for Promotion of Economic Growth and Reconstruction. He mentioned new collaboration established between private companies and other entities in Japan and Ukraine, which was showcased during the conference, and stated that Japan will strive to secure the economic growth of Ukraine.
In addition to its support of demonstration projects in Ukraine at a scale of approximately 160 million euro (26 billion yen), Japan highlighted its contributions to Ukraine, which were presented during the conference, such as the establishment of a JETRO office in Kyiv, NEXI’s establishment of new credit lines, and other efforts. Japan aims to foster a business environment conducive to proactive business activities in Ukraine.
