25th Japan-EU Industrial Policy Dialogue

On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the 25th Japan-EU Industrial Policy Dialogue was held, attended by Mr. Hosaka Shin, Vice Minister, METI, from the Japanese side and Ms. Kerstin Jorna, Director-General, DG GROW, from the EU side.
During this dialogue, they agreed to set up a Task Force on Supply Chain Monitoring and Industrial Policy Coordination to discuss the establishment of a sustainable supply chain.
On Wednesday, February 21, Mr. Hosaka Shin, Vice Minister, METI, from the Japanese side and Ms. Kerstin Jorna, Director-General, DG GROW, from the EU side co-chaired the 25th Japan-EU Industrial Policy Dialogue (IPD).
The Japan-EU Industrial Policy Dialogue focused on identifying challenges facing Japan and the EU in building more transparent, resilient and sustainable supply chains, and discussing industrial policies coordination.
In addition, they agreed to set up a Task Force on Supply Chain Monitoring and Industrial Policy Coordination under the Japan-EU Industrial Policy Dialogue, and to promote discussions with the private sector to identify challenges and promote mutual understanding between Japan and the EU.
