State Minister Kozuki Attends Turkmenistan-Japan Business Forum and Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. Begench Gochmollayev, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Turkmenistan

On Wednesday, March 27, Mr. Kozuki Ryosuke, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, attended a Turkmenistan-Japan Business Forum and delivered a speech in an effort to further enhance Japan-Turkmenistan cooperative ties. He also held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Begench Gochmollayev, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Turkmenistan.

1. State Minister Kozuki attended a Turkmenistan-Japan Business Forum and delivered a speech

On March 27 (Wed.), 2024, a Turkmenistan-Japan Business Forum was held, and State Minister Kozuki and Minister Gochmollayev attended the forum. In anticipation of both the Summit meeting of “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialoguethat are scheduled to be held in 2024, State Minister Kozuki delivered a speech in an effort to enhance Japan-Turkmenistan collaboration in forming projects that will benefit both countries by taking advantage of Turkmenistan's abundant resources.

2. Meeting between State Minister Kozuki and Minister Gochmollayev

At the meeting, State Minister Kozuki welcomed the ongoing deepening of cooperation between Japan and Turkmenistan in both the public and private sectors. Moreover, the two sides exchanged views on the formation of projects based on inter-governmental cooperation in energy transition and confirmed that Japan and Turkmenistan will further enhance cooperative ties in anticipation of both the Summit meeting of "Central Asia plus Japan" Dialogue that are scheduled to be held in 2024 as well as the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
