Minister Saito received a courtesy call from Ambassador Al Faheem of the UAE. In addition, they exchanged views on the efforts for bilateral economic cooperation between Japan and the UAE in a wide variety of fields, including the first meeting of the UAE-Japan Joint Business Council held in Abu Dhabi, which is a framework for private-sector discussions whose establishment was agreed during Prime Minister Kishida’s visit to the UAE in 2023, and cooperation in the fields of advanced technologies and decarbonization under the Japan-UAE Coordination Scheme for Advanced Technology (JU-CAT).
