State Minister Iwata Attends Ukraine Recovery Conference Held in Berlin, Germany

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Mr. Iwata Kazuchika, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, attended the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Berlin, Germany. He also attended the G7+ Energy Meeting, bringing together representatives of G7 member countries, related countries, and international organizations, and stated that Japan will further deepen cooperation for the reconstruction of Ukraine, including in the field of energy, and for the economic growth of the country.
On Tuesday, June 11, the Ukraine Recovery Conference was held in Berlin, Germany, hosted by the governments of Germany and Ukraine, and State Minister Iwata attended the conference. In the G7+ Energy Meeting, bringing together representatives of G7 member countries, related countries, and international organizations, State Minister Iwata stated that Japan will consider support aligned with Ukraine’s energy needs and also provide assistance to specify cooperation projects to be undertaken by Ukrainian and Japanese companies.
In addition, taking the opportunity of his attendance at the conference, State Minster Iwata held a meeting with H.E. Dr. Paweł Kowal, Chairman of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine, Poland. Japan and Poland, which is a pivotal country for the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine, exchanged views on further collaboration between Japan and Poland to reconstruct Ukraine.
