Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ishii Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, India

At the meeting, Japan and India exchanged views on cooperation in cutting-edge fields by taking advantage of the Japan-India Semiconductor Supply Chain Partnership and the Japan-India Digital Partnership, which are efforts under the Initiative for Japan-India Industry Co-Creation (see the related link) that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) published in July 2023. For further strengthening Japan-India economic ties, the two sides discussed the promotion of human resource exchange and development in a wide range of fields, including not only IT but also manufacturing and semiconductors, and cooperation for Japanese companies to deploy the goods and services that they have created in India to third countries in Africa and other regions while encouraging the strengthening of India’s industrial competitiveness.
