Joint Statement Issued at the 17th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum

From Tuesday, September 24, to Thursday, September 26, 2024, the Governments of Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea jointly held the 17th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum in China to share the current situation of the cultural content industries in the three countries. They agreed to seek the co-development and co-prosperity of their industries through proactive cooperation between not only the governments but also related organizations and industries and then issued a joint statement.
As a representative of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Ezawa Masana, Deputy Director-General of the Commerce and Service Industry Policy Group, attended the forum. The three countries shared the current situation of and challenges in their cultural content industries and deepened their knowledge of each other’s efforts. Moreover, they agreed to seek the co-development and co-prosperity of their industries through proactive cooperation between not only the governments but also related organizations and industries. In particular, they held discussions on the application and enhancement of digital technology in the field of cultural content.
Following the end of the forum, the Joint Statement of the 17th Trilateral Cultural Content Industry Forum was issued.
