Vice-Minister for International Affairs Matsuo Holds Meeting with Mr. Spencer J. Cox, Governor of Utah, and Utah Business Delegation

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, Mr. Matsuo Takehiko, Vice-Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), held a meeting with Mr. Spencer James Cox, Governor of Utah, and Utah Business Delegation. They exchanged opinions on enhancing industrial corporation and deepening economic relations between Japan and Utah.

In the meeting with Governor Cox, referring on the role of Japanese companies in the U.S. and in Utah communities through creating jobs and solving social issues, both sides exchanged views future industry collaboration between Japan and Utah.

During the meeting with the business delegation, METI explained its measures for direct investment promotion in Japan, and its undertakings in the healthcare industry. They exchanged views on measures to deepen Japan-U.S. and Japan-Utah mutual economic relations.
