Minister Muto Holds Meeting with Ms. Madeleine King, Australia’s Minister for Resources and Minister for Northern Australia

On Wednesday, January 29, Mr. Muto Yoji, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with Ms. Madeleine King, Australia’s Minister for Resources and Minister for Northern Australia, to exchange views on cooperation between Japan and Australia in the fields of resources and energy.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged opinions on securing a stable supply of resources including LNG and coal and ensuring a trustworthy investment environment. They also discussed cooperation toward strengthening the supply chain of critical minerals. Both sides affirmed their intentions to continuously forge Japan-Australia relations through collaboration for the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan and other opportunities.
