On February 21st, IAEA officials and experts from third-party laboratories sampled ALPS treated water on the premises of Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO)’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS) for the first time.
In September 2024, Japan and the IAEA concurred in conducting the additional measures under the IAEA framework. These additional measures were conducted following the measures in October 2024.
On February 21st, IAEA officials and experts from laboratories from China, France, Republic of Korea, and Switzerland sampled ALPS treated water prior to dilution from measurement/confirmation tanks on the premises of TEPCO’s FDNPS for the first time.
