State Minister Ogushi Holds Meeting with Dr. Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Federal Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism of Republic of Austria

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, Mr. Ogushi Masaki, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry held a meeting with Dr. Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, Austrian Federal Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism, and they exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in innovation. Prior to the meeting, they signed a memorandum of cooperation in industrial research, technology and innovation.
At the beginning of the meeting, State Minister Ogushi offered a welcome to Austrian President Van der Bellen, who is visiting Japan to attend the National Day event of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan on Friday, May 23. The ministers exchanged views on promoting bilateral economic relations focusing on the area of innovation. Prior to the meeting, they signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, in the field of Industrial Research, Technology and Innovation. They confirmed that both sides will promote exchange of information on policies and collaboration among companies, startups and research institutions.
