Vice-Minister for International Affairs Matsuo Holds Meeting with H.E. Ms. Dyah Roro Esti, Vice Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia

On Monday, June 9, Mr. Matsuo Takehiko, Vice-Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Ms. Dyah Roro Esti Vice Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. Both sides exchanged views on trade circumstances surrounding the two countries. The discussion led to their agreement on further strengthening bilateral economic relations.
During the meeting, in light of the outcomes of the Special ASEAN Economic Ministers-Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Consultation held in May 2025, and other discussions, both sides exchanged views towards strengthening bilateral economic relations between Japan and Indonesia. They discussed cooperation in the field of industry and rules-based economic frameworks, as well as methods of responding to the current international economic environment.
