1. Participation in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire’s national day event

State Minister Ogushi attended the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire’s national day event held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. During the ceremony, he appeared on stage with H.E. Mr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and made a speech as a representative of the Government of Japan. At a banquet held afterward, they exchanged views towards strengthening bilateral relations.

2. Meeting with H.E. Mr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Commerce and Industry

State Minister Ogushi held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. During the meeting, State Minister Ogushi expressed Japan’s appreciation for Côte d’Ivoire’s cooperation in holding the Third Japan-Africa Public-Private Economic Forum in December 2024. Aiming to encourage further business networking between the two countries, both sides affirmed continued discussion in anticipation of the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), to be held in August 2025.
