State Minister Ogushi Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment of Ireland

On Monday, June 23, Mr. Ogushi Masaki, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment of Ireland, to affirm continued collaboration towards deepening bilateral economic relations.
State Minister Ogushi welcomed the visit to Japan of H.E. Mr. Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment of Ireland, in conjunction with an event to mark Ireland’s National Day to be held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views towards further bilateral economic cooperation particularly in the areas of digitalization, life sciences, and clean technology, which were confirmed as priority cooperation areas in the Joint Statement between Japan and Ireland released in 2022. The discussion led to mutual agreement on further cooperation towards deepening relations between Japan and Ireland.
