Vice-Minister for International Affairs Matsuo Holds Meeting with H.E. Mr. Khamjane Vongphosy, Minister of the Prime Minister's Office of the Lao People's Democratic Republic

On Monday, July 7, Mr. Matsuo Takehiko, Vice-Minister for International Affairs of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Khamjane Vongphosy, Minister of the Prime Minister's Office of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. Both sides exchanged views on industrial investment, energy and resources cooperation, and the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC), aiming to further strengthen bilateral relations.
During the meeting, both sides discussed industrial investment and their current efforts related to renewable energy and mineral resources, aiming to promote economic collaboration between Japan and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, which produced a pavilion under the theme of ”Green Growth Economy toward Sustainability Development of the Lao PDR" for EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai. In addition, they affirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation regarding the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC).
