Minister Muto Holds Meeting with H.E. Dr. Johann Wadephul, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Germany

On Monday, August 18, Mr. Muto Yoji, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Dr. Johann Wadephul, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Germany, and German business leaders who accompanied the minister. Both sides affirmed continued collaboration towards strengthening economic security and deepening bilateral economic relations.
During the meeting, Minister Muto, Minister Wadephul, and the German business leaders exchanged views on measures for economic security, including ways to strengthen supply chains, the importance of the rules-based economic order, opportunities for future cooperation between Japan and Germany, and other topics. They affirmed they will work toward closer bilateral collaboration.
