Energy and Environment Policy

On Tuesday, September 2, Mr. Kato Akiyoshi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Darragh O'Brien, Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment and Minister for Transport of Ireland. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in the field of energy and other topics.

During the meeting, both sides shared their perspectives on the trends of both countries’ energy policy including the introduction of renewable energy.

In addition, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kato requested Minister O’Brien’s participation in the Ministerial Meeting on Sustainable Fuels and the Hydrogen Energy Ministerial Meeting to be held in Osaka Prefecture on Monday, September 15, 2025.
