Minister Muto Attends a Reception to Celebrate the 215th Anniversary of Mexico's Independence and the 20th Anniversary of the Japan-Mexico Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

On Monday, September 8, Mr. Muto Yoji, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, attended the 215th Anniversary of Mexico’s Independence and the 20th Anniversary of the Japan-Mexico Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). He delivered the opening remarks at the reception.

On Monday, September 8, Minister Muto attended the reception held in Tokyo to celebrate the 215th Anniversary of Mexico’s Independence and the 20th Anniversary of the Japan-Mexico Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). Minister Muto and H.E. Ms. Melba Pría, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to Japan, celebrated the occasion with approximately 200 participants from Japan and Mexico.

In his opening remarks, Minister Muto congratulated the 215th Anniversary of Mexico’s Independence, mentioning that this year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Japan-Mexico EPA. He highlighted the fact that since the EPA entered into force, Japanese companies have contributed to Mexico’s economic growth and job creation. He also expressed his hopes for the further strengthening of bilateral economic collaboration, particularly in the business expansion of renewable energy, green transformation (GX), and digital transformation (DX).
