State Minister Koga Attends the Republic of Slovenia’s National Day at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai

1. Participation in Slovenia’s national day event

State Minister Koga attended Slovenia’s national day event, which was held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. During the ceremony, he appeared on stage with H.E. Mr. Matjaž Han, Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport of Slovenia, and delivered a speech as a representative of the Government of Japan. In his remarks, State Minister Koga expressed his hope that the Expo would serve as an opportunity to further develop bilateral relations between Japan and Slovenia in various areas. At the luncheon following the ceremony, the two officials exchanged views towards strengthening bilateral relations.

2. Meeting with H.E. Mr. Matjaž Han, Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport

Prior to the ceremony, State Minister Koga held a meeting with Mr. Matjaž Han, Minister of the Economy, Tourism and Sport. During the meeting, they confirmed the progress to date of economic relations between Japan and Slovenia and exchanged views on possible bilateral cooperation in the field of decarbonization centering on hydrogen. They affirmed continued collaboration towards further deepening economic relations.
