State Minister Koga Attends the High-Level Event at the “HFSP SCIENCE SUMMIT JAPAN 2025”

On Friday, October 3, 2025, Mr. Koga Yuichiro, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, attended a High-Level Event at the HFSP SCIENCE SUMMIT JAPAN 2025 held at Yasuda Auditorium, the University of Tokyo, and delivered opening remarks.

Event overview

The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) is an international research funding program launched in 1989 which was proposed by former Prime Minister Mr. Nakasone Yasuhiro at the 1987 G7 Venice Summit.
The High-Level Event brought together distinguished researchers, including Nobel laureates supported by the HFSP, to deliver speeches and discussions on the further advancement of life sciences and the role of innovation.
In his opening remarks, State Minister Koga highlighted Japan’s contributions to the HFSP and expectations for its future development, and affirmed support for the High-Level Event.
