Public-Private Mission Dispatched to Lviv, Ukraine

Joint press release with the Japan External Trade Organization
Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA), and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), along with members of some Japanese companies, visited Lviv, Ukraine, from Monday, November 3 to Friday, November 7, 2025.
This visit to Lviv was part of the dispatch of a mission by METI, MOFA, and JETRO to Ukraine. Eight Japanese companies with a high level of interest in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine also joined the mission.
During the visit to Lviv, a city in western Ukraine, the Japanese side participated in a business seminar hosted by Lviv city council and a networking event with local Ukrainian businesses hosted by JETRO, as well as visiting local companies. Officials of the participating Japanese companies exchanged views with representatives of the Ukrainian government and companies towards developing concrete business projects for the country’s recovery and reconstruction.
Through this mission, concrete business projects will be developed with the aim of reconstructing Ukraine, and initiatives to support the country will be accelerated based on public-private collaboration.
