Joint news release with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance
On Thursday, December 18, a Consultation Committee meeting based on the Japan-US Strategic Investment Initiative was held online.
The meeting was attended by the Department of Commerce and the Department of Energy from the United States, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as well as Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) from Japan.
Both sides exchanged views on potential projects for the investment initiative and affirmed their commitments to continue close collaboration towards developing such projects.
