Parliamentary Vice-Minister Komori Holds Meeting with H.E. Ms. Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iceland

On Tuesday, February 17, Mr. Komori Takuo, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Ms. Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iceland. Both sides affirmed their commitment to continuing collaboration towards deepening bilateral economic relations.
Parliamentary Vice-Minister Komori welcomed H.E. Ms. Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iceland, who visited Japan this year, which marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Iceland. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the current bilateral trade situation and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in Iceland’s world-leading geothermal power technology and other areas. They also affirmed the need to ensure economic security.
