State Minister Yamada Receives a Courtesy Call from the Honourable Raymonde Gagné, Senator, Speaker of the Senate, Canada

On Wednesday, March 4, Mr. Yamada Kenji, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, received a courtesy call from the Honourable Raymonde Gagné, Senator, Speaker of the Senate, Canada. Both sides exchanged views on investment by Japanese companies in Canada and cooperation between Japan and Canada in the fields of critical minerals, natural resources, energy, and other areas.
In the meeting, they affirmed the importance of critical minerals and natural resources projects involving Japanese companies in Canada and agreed to continue to strengthen cooperation between Japan and Canada.
In addition, they discussed ways to expand investment by Japanese companies in Canada and promote trade between Japan and Canada.
