State Minister Yamada Attends Japan-Bhutan Business Forum on the Occasion of Prime Minister Tobgay of the Kingdom of Bhutan’s Visit to Japan

On Monday, March 16, Mr. Yamada Kenji, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, participated in the Japan-Bhutan Business Forum, which was attended by H.E. Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

State Minister Yamada delivered remarks at the Japan-Bhutan Business Forum, which was co-hosted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). In his address, marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bhutan, he emphasized that the two countries have built strong relations through many years of interaction. He also expressed his hope that cooperation in the field of digital innovation, prompted by the Gelephu Mindfulness City Project, would continue to progress.

In addition, Prime Minister Tobgay delivered a keynote address, while Mr. Ishiguro Norihiko, Chairman of JETRO, delivered an additional speech.
