Vice-Minister for International Affairs MATSUO Holds Meeting with Mr. Frank Wetzel, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Federal Republic of Germany

On Friday, April 24, Mr. MATSUO Takehiko, Vice-Minister for International Affairs of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with Mr. Frank Wetzel, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Federal Republic of Germany. They affirmed their commitment to continued collaboration towards enhancing economic security and deepening bilateral economic relations.
In addition, at the meeting, they signed a joint statement to strengthen bilateral cooperation in fields such as dual-use and advanced technology.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on topics such as the current energy situation in light of the situation in the Middle East, economic security measures including the strengthening of supply chains, and the importance of cooperation among like-minded countries.
In addition, they signed a joint statement on strengthening cooperation in dual-use and advanced technology.
They agreed to advance bilateral economic relations including in these fields.
