On Wednesday, May 13, Mr. Ino Toshiro, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, received a courtesy call from Ms. Ahunna Eziakonwa, Assistant Administrator and Regional Director for Africa of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and exchanged views on cooperation between Japan and Africa to promote innovation across Africa.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on UNDP’s initiatives to build innovation ecosystems across Africa, and confirmed that Japan and UNDP will continue to work closely together to advance these initiatives.
