Exchange of Views with Startups Held

On Monday, May 25, 2026, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the secretariat of the headquarters for Japan’s Growth Strategy, Cabinet Secretariat, held an exchange of views between Ms. Takaichi Sanae, Prime Minister of Japan and Mr. Kiuchi Minoru, Minister in charge of Startups, and representatives from startups, at the Prime Minister’s Office.
At the exchange of views, Minister in charge of Startups Kiuchi, delivered an opening address, followed by presentations from each startup company about their initiatives. Under the moderation of Ms. Namba Tomoko, a member of the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy, participants exchanged views on future support policies to encourage the growth of startups.
Prime Minister Takaichi highlighted the importance of startups that play a key role in putting research results into practical use, promoting investment to industrialize technological seeds, benefiting from the predictability that government procurement provides, and improving the financial environment.
